Our History

Oak Hills Community Church was started in March 1996 with the purpose of serving the area along the Highway 181 corridor between Floresville and San Antonio. It was a mission of 13 other churches in Wilson, Kenedy and Gonzales counties.  Since the church’s inception, it has grown from two to a membership of over 350.  During that time, the church has met in a volunteer fire department, an animal hospital, a day care center, and a school cafeteria.  The church now owns 7 acres on Highway 181.  From the beginning, Oak Hills has been a church with a heart to serve the various needs of people in the community with the love of Jesus.
